Ctrl + Alt + whichever direction you want to be up, so in this case the up arrow.

don't just tell him, and spoil all the fun!

you can do this workmates' screens, then sit back and watch... it's amazing how many people still don't know. or bother to use 'help'

although there's always the chap who can use the mouse just as well right away even with the screen upside down - he should be treated with suspicion thereafter - it's not right, that.

NO!

Why did you tell him? 👿

It's so much fun wandering round the office, flipping peoples screens upside down with a cheeky Ctrl/Alt combo*.

*Yes i have a really exciting job.

Sorted!

Can't believe 2 people told me the right answer. I was fully expecting some scallywag to cause more mayhem for her.

why they have a shortcut key for flipping your display on it's side is beyond me.

Because some monitors can pivot and then you can have a screen that shows a whole A4 document at once.

I know some screens do that, and I know that's the purpose of it - but the vast majority of screens don't and it catches more people out then it helps. You can switch off the screen flip shortcut, but it's not the sort of thing that needs to be on by default.
