[Closed] computer games.. anything new?

I pre-ordered OFP2 from play it's looking good.

I'm still playing PR mod on the old BF2 engine... That and Arma2, £25 for all that... gawd yes.
Strictly PC, mind.

Dirt 2 and need for speed shift both look good but I like driving games a lot. My lad wants assassins creed 2 and I had a great deal of fun playing bioshock so I'm hoping number 2 is worth buying. I'll wait and see though.

Currently i'm spending most of my time on Moto GP 08 and Red Faction which is ace.

I bought my son Halo ODST yesterday as a 16th birthday present
It took him 4 hours to completely finish it - is that normal?

Went into Game a couple of days ago to preorder Modern warfare 2, staff in there went into quite a passionate sales pitch regarding Operation Flashpoint 2, hadn't even heard of it, watched a few vids today and it does look like it might be very good...

I loved Operation Flashpoint on the PC (may have to re-install it). Really looking forward to OFP2.

halo odst was only meant to be an add on with a new multiplayer game and a compilation of all the halo 3 online maps , to keeps fans happy till the new halo reach comes out in the future

Also worth mentioning is, although COD titles are very good they're FPS games for the least talented, so easy to play good fun though on consoles.

I'm working through Company of Heroes and Fallout 3 (plus possibly its expansion packs) at the moment, then might fire up Saints Row 2 on the Xbox and Orange Box.

Just put a pre order in for a copy for a xmas pressie, apparently they are going to be £55 for the PS3?

The store had taken 2500 pre-orders, largest pre-order ever apparently!

I also put in an order for GT5, but not holding my breath on that one 😉

I have one of the above, but then I have always been a big halo fanboy. BTW campaign may only be 4 hours, but then you have firefight and a whole other multiplayer disk. (and definitely MTFU and get it on legendary)

Will get MW2 sometime between release and Christmas, but agree with the general comment re COD being just another balls out FPS (albeit very entertaining...)

I'm hoping that Gearbox will continue with the thinking gamers WW2 shooter and bring out a Brothers in Arms 4

On the way to D2D, Jo Whiley was talking to someone about games & he'd reviewed Halo OSDT or whatever it's called.
He said that the game is easy & quick to complete, but it's real attraction is the multiplayer stuff - so if you don't play online it's probably not worth it, but if you do then it's a must have.

I find COD World at War on the Wii hard enough.....has me shouting at the TV everytime I get grenaded to death. And I think I am playing it on 'mince level 1'

I'm waiting for the Dawn Of War 2 Chaos expansion. Aren't really fussed about anything else, unless they release a Fallout3 DLC megapack...
