MegaSack DRAW - This year's winner is user - rgwb
We will be in touch
Half a dozen of us from work are entering a team for the Commando Challenge in October.
Anyone on here done it?
Is it gonna be painful or will we just be laughing at the absurdity of while wading through all the mud, crawling the tunnels & through the sheep-dip, etc?! 😀
Will be going against the clock as trying to beat another team of workmates, so not just taking it easy...
Pics here if you want a laugh; http://www.commandochallenge.co.uk/gallery.asp
This is the kind of event the army see as a public relations exercise & want you to go away knackered but with a sense of achievement.
Take the bike as well Woodbury common has some cracking trails criss crossing it - if you got any energy left!
How hard can it be going without grundies?
I took the commando challenge at work the other week because I forgot to put my boxers in my rucksack and survived:)
coulndt stop laffing all way round , just good clean ( well nearly ) fun do it, take spare clothes and shower kit, bin the stuff you go round in , i will be doing again was there on sunday last year , thought i recocnised you jam bo,lol
us at the start
just after the sheep dip ,the mud is good for you skin !!!!!!!!!
haha, current debate is what to wear - i reckon one of the group may attempt it in full roadie lycra gear. Oh how we'll laugh...
Snaps - it's the Royal Marines that put it on, not the army. 😉
The girl's team are giving it all the talk, but one of them's really crapping herself about it & working herself up into a frenzy! 😐
Should be hoot, I reckon 😀
28 of us from work did it last year, great event. Definately worth dressing up in a bit of a theme - I did it in a lovely purple dress (any excuse!!). Woodbury Common definately worth exploring on a bike, too.
You'll be doing chunks of the "endurance course", it's one of the commando test for recruit Marines. It's fun 😆
It's not the Army!
