OK.. Going to Spain for a couple of weeks and hiring a car.
Should I get Collision Waiver insurance?

Did the same thing last year and didnt get it but just booked my car and had an attack of the vapours!!

Hire price doubled as well but thats a different thread!

Your call really.

Do you want to risk having the car damaged, and having to pay out hundreds of euros, to save some money on the hire fee?

For the record, I take the risk and dont add it.

If you do get it. check that it covers things like the tyres and windows, as the last time I hired a car in Ibiza, the window was smashed, and the hire guy said even with the highest insurance they don't cover the tyres or windows!

Surfer, guess by your user name you might be heading up here. If so there's a company called economycarrentals.com that will pay your excess for you if you have a prang. Worth checking out. (Note, they might be in other places too, just know I use them here).

I've never had a prang so can't comment if they are true to their word or not.

Exactly what I was about to suggest Mr R.O.G, this is the best way to go £65 for an annual policy if I remember correctly...
