We will be in touch
I ran out of ability on a jump on Saturday and went down on my shoulder and arm. There seems to be a definite outward curve of the collarbone compared to the other one.
I'm not in any pain at all so my question is can you bend a bone?
How old are you?
I was going to say, only if you're under about 6!
Dislocation?
Although, with no pain at all, I'd suggest it may have always been like this, and you've never noticed - none of us are entirely symmetrical...

Quasimodo,is that you?*
*says the man with two dislocated collarbones
😉
You'll know if you've broken something - carry on !
I have broken my collarbone. You'd definitely know if you have broken yours. Also dislocated both shoulders several times. Pain after dislocations was dull and numbness. Pain after break was intense, sharp and very different!!
Can you raise both hands above your head and clap them together?
Younger people can bend bones in what's called a greenstick fracture but I think that stops at puberty. Are you aged below 12?
59 so definitely not under 12.thanks for the replies so I'll just carry on as normal but I can't stop rubbing my collarbones now.
You've probably done something bad to your AC joint, as said above, can you raise your arm over your head without thing's feeling "wrong"?
Mine has been dislocated at one end for many years, I don't think it hurt at the time, but it went with a fractured elbow so movement of the arm was very limited for a long time. It has very little impact to day to day life, although when diving into a pool I now need to hold my hands in place otherwise one shoots across as there is nothing to stop that movement!

Like you just don't care.
Sounds like you've damaged the ACJ and the burser underneath is swollen, hence the bump. Ice and Ibuprofen is my best advice. When the pain subsides , there are a lot of exercises on youtube to help with recovery.
Pain is a very poor indicator for a fracture, X-rays are reliable. Anecdotally I felt no pain when I broke mine, however there was loss of function (couldn't raise my arm above shoulder height) however this may not apply to you- every injury is different!. If it looks different to the other side then you prob need to catch looked at unforts
