Pact, or Happy Donkey are brilliant at cheaper prices.

I've used Happy Donkey, Pact and Clifton Roasters over the passed few years and all have been good but I now just buy a 1kg bag of levazza Rossa or Crema beans from amazon for a tenner (substantially cheaper than all of the above) and quite honestly I think I prefer it.

Square Mile Red Brick used to be the standard. We get the odd bag here in Spain every now and then and it's still excellent though I remember it being more acidic back in the day.

If you're in Nottingham I can recommend Stewarts roasters, local coffee for local people, and fresh as a fresh thing.

Lavazza from Costco kilo bags circa 8 quid. This place is local to me and it's about as freshly roasted as you can get. Good choice of flavours and roasts for about 12 quid a kilo. Depends if you're drinking espresso or espresso based drinks.

Rave monsooned malabar is excellent VFM, but TBH I've found I get used to whatever I have regularly and that becomes what I like. Changing to something else takes a short period of adjustment and then that's what I like.

Aldi Colombian here

I'm on Aldi Italian beans here. Very nice. Got some of their Columbian beans in the freezer for when the batch of Italian beans are gone.

Tried Pact for a bit, but not a fan. The choice is limited, tastes aren't as flavoursome as Has Bean coffees. They do however do a neat regular order system.

Going back to Has Bean now. Shame they've dropped the names of old classic blends, but it's just a name.

Amazon, ebay? Are they fresh roasted? (talking within a few days)

Atkinsons in Lancaster is brilliant. They also do a subscription service so you get different beans every month.
