[#1097914]

I want to get some decent coffee for a mate for christmas, but don't know what's good and what's shi.....sorry, not so good. I know there are some coffee drinkers on here(didn't there even used to be a coffee forum?), so thought I'd seek advice. What should I get and where from? And just to make things difficult, I prefer actually going to shops rather than interweb shopping.
Thanks in advance

Anthony

i used to buy from hill and valley, who did the singletrack blend, but they ramped up their delivery charges so only now worth buying if getting huge amounts. best coffee i've bought though.

Now I used hasbean, they are pretty good. Also do gift sets.

Sorry no clickys as I'm on my phone but google should sort you out.

Go to a coffee and tea merchants, ask for the best selling fairly strong bean/ask their advice.

Done.

Agree with anotherdeadhero - I drink quite a lot of strong coffee - always nice to try someone else's fav. If you get stuck then Waitrose Monsooned Malabar currently in the grinder...

Really top notch stuff, but there is not too much variety. However every coffee I have bought from them is brilliant. Takengon Aceh I have bought several packs of and it is one of my favourites. For more variety you can use hasbean.
