I'm moving house and the new property has solid oak flooring. My wife wants to get a steam cleaner to clean these but I'm not sure if this is suitable.
How would I know if the floor is sealed or not?

We use a steam cleaner on ours, works well. No visible damage yet...!

If it has no finish on it, then oxalic acid crystals dissolved in water will clean them up a treat.
