MegaSack DRAW - 6pm Christmas Eve - LIVE on our YouTube Channel
Anyone got any first hand experience. I’m looking at one and sorely tempted. It will be used mainly as a base for long audaxes. Quick kip, brew, and transport
Not seen one for ages.
Dont watch the crash test videos on youtube (although leagues ahead of a Bedford Rascal... I know someone who had one of those with a camper body, I was constantly amazed it never fell over)
Dont crash a c15...
I did. Crushed T12 and broke my shoulder.
Typical French handling so soft and wallowy but comfy.
Is it the 1.7d non turbo? If so bullet proof.
Is it a RomaHome body?
Loved our old C15. Squishy and reliable. Sold at 155000 miles and eventually disappeared from the mot database another 8 years later and 238000.
Steering and cable clutch will probably seem heavy. The diesel was quite a parts bin special so Haynes manuals needed are a mix of Visa, PSA Diesel and Pug 205 (front subframe and suspension).
One expensive thing to look out for is rear dampers / springs / trailing arm taper roller bearings. They are all a pig to do and need some special tools and spring compressors (spring and damper sit horizontally). Listen for clicking from the bearing over bumps.
Here we are looking slighty out of place in international race team mode, Grundig mtb world cup, Norway 1996 🙂

That videos awesome haha. Nothing quicker than a frenchman on his local lanes in an old Citroen.
Place I used to work at ran C15's for years, crude but reliable. Theres a Romahome on the road from me never moves off the drive though. Always fancied one as a sleeper project, fitted with either a fettled XUD engine or a 16v petrol conversion.
