What are they like to live with in day to day life any problems what to watch out for.

Aren't these the ones that scored really low in NCAP tests? ie about as safe as a packet of crisps, in a crash?
Horrendous fuel consumption on the one we had as a pool car. Was a petrol model though.

I was astounded by how bad the consumption was.
Our esteemed leader, Tony B Liar used to have one. But he won't have paid for his -he never paid for anything, did he?
Terrible NCAP results.......I'd go for one of the newer Toyota Previas (although I dont think they make them anymore)......at least it will last!

Bloody awful - drank petrol at a scary rate, huge amount of wasted space and lack of practicality, shitty drive compared to most MPV's (we were on Arran for a week with it though).
If you must do a 'big' 7 seat, get a Galaxy/Sharan/Alhambra IMHO - much better to drive/cheaper to own/more practical/faster/more efficient/safer.
depends on age think it was only the older ones (like 10yrs) that had the poor nadcap and they disappeared shortly after - but i suspect the kia thing is based on them
had a 52 galaxy which got rid of - if you want with aircon working and not costing a lot every 18months not good value, try googling it - plain bad design, pity rest is great - the sharan alhambra same, the2/3yr old galaxy is all new design

The engine alledgedly comes into the front seats in the event of a crash, pity youre sitting there as well.
had a hire one. weird disconnected driving and the interior well, i've seen better plastic on kinder egg toys
My mates wife drives one. He complains of very expensive servicing costs, poor fuel consumption and a lack of "no name" parts so you're stuck with Crysler parts.
I've been in it too and its a bad of shite.
Get a Ford Galaxy.
i would also like to ask the designer why it has two huuuuuge seats, but the back three are a titchy bench - stooopid waste of space...

I used to sell them, new and used. They go wrong quite often and are expensive to repair. High depreciation means used models can look better value. It wouldn't be my first choice MPV.
Sold Toyota previa's too. Now they are bulletproof and not bad to drive. 2.0 D4D engine ain't bad on diesel from memory.

I drove one on holiday and I really could not believe that a car so crude and badly made was still being produced in the 21st century its like something out of the 70s' but crap.

My sister has had one on Motability for 3 years, had no probs. Big and smooth and comfy, seats all fold away to give a huge van space (earlier ones didn't, newest, new shape ones do too). You don't buy them for fuel economy or handling, but they do their job really well. she's replacing with an S-Max. If you want a seven seater that goes and handles, look out for a 2 litre Honda Stream, another worth a look is the Mitsubishi Grandis, great for passengers and decent economy from the diesel.

I thought it was great, loads of space inside for people and kit, handled well in the snow of which there was lots both winters.
However, I wouldn't fancy one in the UK. It wasn't great on the gas (4l v8) and I would imagine it wouldn't be great to drive on twisty UK roads. Great on the long straight and traffic free roads of North Ameica.

The Lotus Elise has a NCAP rating of N/A

I drove one on holiday in canada and it didn't seem that bad, and the stow and go was brilliant (turned the car into a van that you could sleep in easily with 2 bikes + kit for 3 weeks holiday pretty much)
