The messages are Check WiFi network name & no internet connection.
I'm trying to connect Chromecast to my Google Nexus5 phone.

you connect it to your wifi, you also connect the phone to your wifi, they then talk to each via that. I think 🙂
I tried that- its on different frequencies?
It recognises but then that message comes up

Have you set the Nexus up as a WiFi hotspot?
Hora you need the Chromecast app first to set it up? Install in mobile.
Using chromecast app for setup there is an offers section worth looking at.
Although the 2 free months of sky movies didn't work seamlessly, I did finally get it by using the voucher code from the url and input manually.
Impressed how fast and slick it is compared to the TV smart features.
