Mrs Strato and me have been in suspense for days now.

Is your lad's amp sorted? 😆
Is he treating the neighbours to some rock? 😉

Or is he still crestfallen? 😥

Can we have an update please? We've still got our fingers crossed for him.

WoW, wow, and WOW again!!!! 😯

That looks awesome!
Are you pleased with it?
Why did you choose it?

Can you post a demo of it? No, wait......
100W??!!!?? Crank it up I'll pop outside and listen! 😉

Rock on! bandless one. 🙂

I picked up a s/h Marshall MG15 CDR.
Not in the same league I know, but I've been pleased with the sounds I can get from it.

Hi
No joy, I think the shop we bought it from is open later today so we'll have to see.
I do feel sorry for him.

Tried it in my lgs and was blown away by the tone. Always wanted a 4X12 stack but never had one when i was in bands. Thought "Why the **** not". Love, love, love it 😀

only the second solo is the Blackstar amp using the emulated direct out straight into my mac. Everything else was using my old digitech rack preamp. Think the Blackstar solo sounds noticeably fatter.

The playing a bit sloppy in places. I was a bit pissed while recording it

Getting a replacement, but nothing can be done until the 4th.
Sounds like the pre-amp as we can get sound through the phones

"I picked up a s/h Marshall MG15 CDR."

Those little Marshalls are superb, I use mine on stage, in the studio, everywhere, just plug it in and turn it on with no messing, ....... bloody great they are.

Very nearly like it as much as my Mesa Boogie combos Would never go back to a big pile of heads and cabs now.

I've noticed loads of bands using Blackstar, though quite a few seem to be just using the cabs... So I'm thinking it's maybe a promotion/sponsorship thing? Still, they look ace 😉

Don't miss my 4x12 half-stack in the slightest mind, my wee Vox makes all the noise I want and doesn't need a little crane to move it... But looked less impressive on stage.

Northwind, if I actually was gigging i probably would have gone for the combo for portability. The shop actually had the 2X12 combo version which was £500 cheaper. But I've always wanted a big f**** off stack, so i got one 😀

Think my Marshall stack is in the utility room at the moment 😉 It was ace for gigging, but a LOT too much for anything else!

I keep thinking of getting rid of both it and my Mesa Boogie .50 cal combo to get something a little more living room/terraced house friendly 😉

Just managed to speak to someone at VOX, and the amp left them repaired on the 22nd.
I couldn't speak to an engineer, but the receptionist said the report mentioned a 'perished valve'

Can the valve have perished without it ever being used?
I'm going to contact VOX USA as I'm not too happy with this answer.
What do you reckon?

perished just means dead. Awful lot of ways to kill a valve in transit.

Vox certainly used to build 'em better, I have '64 ac30 (pre top boost, ox blood speaker grille)thats still going strong though it could probably do with a few caps changing by now!

It's here, the VT100 is back.
However, it's smashed to pieces 😥
