I’m going to a little girls christening on Saturday and mrs iolo is the godmother. It has been mentioned that gifts are expected. I have no idea what to get. The christening is in Austria. I don’t want to spend too much money. Does anyone have any suggestions?

We sell these...and it’s what I think is our best christening gift. Some people do frames or money boxes . I just like these angels.

They are handmade in Scotland by a very nice lady called Hazel Banks.

while you're pontiff-icating, might I suggest:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Fred-HOLY-TOAST-Bread-Stamp/dp/B000KG8E52

Practical and guaranteed to convert 5000 from only 7 loaves of white sliced.

Papal gift

Only if you really trust them, there's no buyer protection unlike with normal Paypal.

Everyone buys stuff for the kid. Buy something for the parents. The kid won't know.

Amazon voucher? They can put it toward something they need rather than you trying to second guess what others bought or what hand me downs they've got.

I'm 38. My mother just brought a box of christening gifts from her loft for me to put in mine.

Would you like a pewter egg cup or Peter rabbit money box from 1979?

Waste of money...so try to avoid the normal gifts and think of something that might be useful.
