Went to one for the first time ever this week, I had a spill off my bike 5 weeks ago and have been in constant pain. I had landed directly on my head at speed but had broken no bones so 'thought' I should just rest and things would sort out themselves...NOT.
The visit revealed 4 vertibrae in my neck and back were not as they should be.. (compressed).. She also diagnosed muscle issues in my shoulders..
I had the first treatment by the Chiropractor during the initial visit where she 'fixed' three of the areas of concern. I wouldnt let her do the fourth as it high up on my neck.. however, after weeks of lack of sleep and painful torment.. I have had a pain free week end.. not saying that I am going to give up any further treatment as she stated I need at least 8 visits to sort me out... but this is a lesson learned and shared..
chiropractors rule. for me anyway. a lifetime of constant pain, easily cured for £30 every 6 months. she doesn't cure me but she does 'reset' me until i can knacker myself again doing things that i should know better about...
