Vocation on New Road, Tapas-y Tacos and Mexican, nearly all is or can be made gluten free, and 20 or so various craft beers on tap

Greens Vegetarian on Albert Street has some good gluten free options, salads and homemade pickles and chutneys

For Pubs

Old Gate in the centre of Town has some great food, and is a lovely warm welcoming pub after a cold walk, loads of good beer

Stubbing Wharf on the canal for Trad pub food, good beer, and my GF who's also coeliac always finds something on the menu she can have

Spoilt for choice in Hebden loads of food places but I can't beat Nick's local knowledge.

Also a good Japanese cafe “Blue” just opened with many gluten free options. Had lunch there today. Good.

But yeah. Vocation. Just don’t start with number 20.

Old gate is great with prams and high chairs etc, nice and spacious!

Life and Death from vocation is ones of my top beers, but don't forget it's 6.5%!!

Squeeze on Crown Street is good for brunch, especially with little ones. Old gate does the best breakfast, and probably the best evening meals. Old gate, vocation and White lion (bit touristy) are the only pubs I'd bother with. Coffee Cali does the best coffee, country stores in the square is takeaway only, but does cracking pies and sausage rolls. The cafe at Gibson Mill (hardcastle crags) is currently closed, but is extortionate anyway these days

Cafe Solo does the best coffee.

Yep, Solo coffee is in fact rocket fuel.
