I think the boy might have 'em. Oh eck, what's my plan of attack? more importantly, how long can I blag off work? We've also got a 7week old in the house, is there any point in seperating them as the entire house has probably been maaahooosively exposed?
bloody nurseries
a return to Shingle City please!
It depends how bad it is.
Both my two picked them up at nursery when they were young.
Number one was a nightmare!!!! She was really really ill with it. The only way she could sleep was if i sat up in bed and held her. This co-incided with the wife being away on business. I didn't sleep myself for 72 hours. It was great fun!!!
The second one absolutely breezed through it without it bothering her too much at all.
I hope you get the latter
And theres no point seperating them now. Chickenpox is most infectious before the visable signs appear. So the damage will already be done

keep a close eye on the new born. chicken pox can be very serious for babies.
No point separating them, number 1 child has been brewing them for about 3 weeks, so if baby is going to get them it'll happen regardless of what happens now. Can isolate them from other kids until all spots have appeared, popped & scabbed over. FFS if anyone in your family is immunocompromised then lock the door to them now!!
As above can be serious for little ones (baby) so plenty of fluids, seek medical advice if spots appear or any difficulty in feeding as mouth can get sore with spots. Make sure baby continues to wet nappies regularly (at least 4 times daily) as the problem with little ones is often fluid intake goes down, leads to dehydration, kid gets ill due to secondary dehydration not original infection.
If in doubt over how well you feel either kid is, get them seen. Chickenpox does carry some nasty, but rare, complications that can & do occur
when i had them growing up my dad washed my hair with PARAFFIN !!!!!
I had it when I was 32.
It was absolutely ****ing horrible, I had spots in places I didn't know existed & felt like I had the worst flu ever invented.
Bloody kids were fine though, just spotty.
