Found something else following Prostate treatment.
Not a fan of the monarchy, but I wish him all the best.
x2
Same here.
Is it normal to scan tissue removed for benign growth to check for cancer? Makes sense if it is.
Probably an incidental finding on the MRI scan done to look at the prostate.
It is.
He's released a statement to stop speculation. Cue the Beeb speculating for the next bloody hour!
Very sad for Chas, but being slightly cynical….
watch the government try and smuggle out loads of bad news while the countries fawning, cap-doffing media rattle on and on and on about it, keeping us endlessly informed of every single minute development as if nobody had ever had cancer before
It’s been the entire 6 o clock news. It’s like we’re living in a medieval fiefdom
That sucks, no matter who you are.
Today was 23 years since my mum passed away from the big C.
Not bowl cancer but did notice when he came out of hospital his suit was way too big for him, obviously lost weight rapidly

Hopefully it's a primary rather than a secondary item, and they've caught it early if it was symptomless.
Can't cope with another Coronation!
What is bowl cancer?
I wish him a full and speedy recovery.
My Dad died 32 years ago of carcinomatosis which developed from stomach cancer.
Why are they dancing around what the diagnosis actually is? Anyway - lucky for him he got to see a specialist quicker than me.
I'm guessing they may be trying a couple of rounds of something to see how responsive it is.

Had to be his bestie Nicolas Witch Hole bleating on about it too 😒

100%…go go go
Best of luck to him, i dont need another two state "occasions" in my lifetime.
That’s a shame, oh well, never mind.
I'm sure he’ll be well cared rather than enter into the NHS postcode lottery.
Nicholas Witch Hole had me reaching for the sick bag..🤮🤮
Charles will have enjoyed screwing up Witchell's holiday in Hong Kong with this announcement, though.
Best of luck to him, i dont need another two state “occasions” in my lifetime.
Wonder if BC will ban everyone from cycling again?
Another coronation/ bank holiday will bankrupt the UK surely! Get well soon though. Not nice for anyone and their family regardless of what you happened to be born into.
My grandad has prostate cancer and my younger sister has terminal thymus cancer. It's shit. I wish him, his family and everyone else suffering from cancer all the best.
I have some sympathy because my dad went into hospital for his second op for benign prostatic hyperplasia about 6 months ago and whilst undergoing that treatment they found cancerous cells in his bladder. A scrape didn't deal with it so he had his bladder removed before Christmas. He's quite well now but the post-op recovery was a bumpy road (including a period where they managed to not feed him whilst in hospital and then not discharge him because he wasn't passing solids, and then later a blue light into hospital for a secondary infection). I'm not a royalist but I hope he doesn't suffer.
Crap news for anyone, only upside is that this tends to lead to an uptick in people get checked out due to the coverage
downside is that the daily heil will try and blame harry and Meghan in 3-2-1....
You wait all these years for a king to come along and then......
Good luck to him and everyone else whose had to hear that they have cancer today, and for everyone is who is facing it
Very sad for Chas, but being slightly cynical….
Nothing new there.
It’s been the entire 6 o clock news. It’s like we’re living in a medieval fiefdom
Other channels, streaming services and things to do are also available.
It's pretty shit and I wish him and family well.
**** cancer! Doesn’t matter who you are, cancer is shit. He’s very lucky to have probably some of the best private health care there is. Will likely give him better odds than most.
Wonder if BC will ban everyone from cycling again?
Reported that all Centre Parcs resorts are on standby for lockdown.
Just goes to show that cancer really doesn’t give a crap who you are..horrible disease
I wish him all the best
Have they blamed it on Megan yet?
As they would take bloods I’d guess at a form of blood cancer/myelodysplastic syndrome, hope not for his sake as my dad got diagnosed with it 1 week after retiring at the age of 69 back in 2018, he died 4 months later. Its most common in adults over the age of 70
My first thought was why does the world have to know his very private medical condition and then I read the final paragraph of the press release and I can understand the motive.
I still think it is harsh that he is forced to share something so private and personal though. Despite believing that the monarchy has no role in a genuine democracy.

Like they didn’t do last time?
Hope he makes a full recover.
**** cancer.

Doubt it was forced.
My best mate also had cancer surgery today, at 38, having lost her mum to cancer when she was 3, and her Dad to cancer whilst pregnant with her first child. Whatever people think to the Royal Family - cancer can f***ing do one. Thinking of him and his family, who at this moment are just people just like me and my friend - and my day has been shit.
Like they didn’t do last time?
But they read the room very badly and got a spanking for it.
I find myself wishing him the very best. Mostly, because I'm human and despite my dislike of the office he elects to hold and something will get him eventually, needless suffering is never nice (though I make an exception for Trump). But a bit of me also wishes him well because I dread the news being full of it, especially if it acts as a distraction in arguably the world's most important year for democracy. That would be a real irony.
His homeopath will sort him out
Can’t cope with another Coronation!
Depends if the dickhaeds at British Cycling try to ban cycling again that day.
He'll have the instant appointment that members of the public will never get, and while we can all agree cancer is bad, it is much worse when you need to go through an underfunded nhs in the hope you get an appointment and treatment before the disease has caused irreparable damage.
Underfunded because the rich avoid paying tax.Like the Royal Family for instance.
