Can anyone help? I've tried searching via Google and none of links I find seem to address the question.

The drive is currently partioned for both Mac and Windows, but I want the whole thing to be formatted for a Windows PC as the current Windows partition is pretty small and I need 100% of the storage.

Help greatly appreciated. Smarmy remarks will be given scores out of ten.

You can do it with disc utility on a mac.

Set it to FAT32.

Do you have a Mac or a PC? If you have a PC, then plug the drive in (Assuming Windows here) and RIGHT click on "My Computer" and go to "Manage".

Then go to disk management - after a short while it should show up on the RHS of the window with all of the partitions, even the filthy mac one...

Delete all of the existing partitions and reformat it to NTFS - this will then allow you to use files that are larger than 4GB.

Just make sure that it is the external drive that you play with!
