There is a high pitched screeching coming from the belt area of my accord when the AC kicks in. It seems to be when the compressor starts and will last for as long as the compressor is on for it seems.
Now it sounds like a bearing to me, could this be plausible?
Other things suggested are belt, compressor and A/C clutch?
Also there is some gas in the viewing window of the AC pipe, should this be there or is the gas low and thats causing strain on something???
Just typical that were off to France on Fri night isnt it!
Bearings or belt sounds the likely culprits
or the belt is worn and extra stress from the AC isn't helping.
I have been told its the compressor disintegrating! Great news!
