What's the website that people have used to scrap there car? I need to get rid of it this week. Volvo v40 1.8 suspension is clunky! All ready got another one sorted. Also it won't have wheels as I'm keeping them (brand new tyres)

I used cartakeback a few months ago. Offered me £170 including collection for a 1993 Golf with no clutch. If I could get it to them they would have given me over £200. The best the local scrappy could give me was £100.

They arrived on time and paid in cash. I'd use them again without question.

I used that one above and was offered £140 for my old Bora, the company failed to turn up once. Next time they 'broke down' on the way so said they'd ring me the next day. It took them over a week. Mean time I seen a guy who down the street who has a little scrap yard, he gave me £160 and collected it that day.

So guess it depends on the company.

webuyanycar offered buttons for mine (and then presumably would have tried to batter that down further on the day) Try and find a good local breakers that can collect?
