Jeez - I think I might be going mad - I "thought" I watched a programme on BBC Four in the evening on Christmas Day - about the Jacobite steam train from Fort Willian to Mallaig - looked like one of the All Aboard episodes, you know where's there's no commentary, no cutting away to interview people etc. Very relaxing 🙂
Thought I'd rewatch it today but I just cant find any existence of it! Anyone have any details please ?
Ta
Grand Tours of Scotland?
It seems to be on almost weekly.
It was on Quest, not BBC. Don't know if it will be repeated anytime.

CraigW- yeah that's the one - superb and excellent- thanks v much - much appreciated:)
There’s one on Channel 5 on Monday 8pm just seem an advert.
Yep, Quest, and it was indeed, simply a few cameras attached to the train in different places, shown in one continuous journey on a glorious sunny day, no commentary, and all the better for that.
I followed it on OS Maps as it went along. Strangely, couldn't look away from the telly, despite nothing really happening.
A good thing.
Thanks to all replies - this really is a good place 🙂
In a similar but more surreal (perhaps slightly challenging) vein, Arcadia might be up your street.
BBC4 is showing “Flying Scotsman-Live from the footplate” Sun night at 8pm. Think it’s on the Severn Valley railway. Relaxing 60 mins!
csb - thanks - have googled around and that looks interesting - will try and find the full version
bertmason - yeah will deffo check that out - was only on it a couple of weeks ago on the Liverpool - Carlisle route 🙂
You can find hours of this stuff on YouTube, I think it's often called 'slow TV'. I've skipped through a few on scenic mountain railways.
