OK - So my friend had a tumor removed on Thursday...
She is 26 and the tumor was behind her knee, they only found it because it was pressing in to a nerve.
I don't want to burden her with loads of questions but I want to be there to support her.
They are testing the tumor to see if it a synovial arcoma.
Basically, what happens next?
If it is not a synovial arcoma, what could it be? and what happens next?
I guess the worst thing is that it could be a synovial arcoma.. but again, if it is, what happens next?
Check out some of the support websites eg.
Synovial sarcoma is very rare (I used to work in sarcoma research group in the UK).
If it hasn't spread then survival rates rates for synovial sarcoma are very good.
