Great opportunity to influence the city centre for the better:

Done - thank you for flagging up.

Lots of free text space to put some comments in about improving cycling infrastructure, public transport etc.

Done. Private cars should be charged too.

Thanks and thanks - I too used the free text boxes to also say private cars should be charged, £10/day probably isn't sufficient to change behaviour of taxi/van/LGV drivers, and another good way to combat air pollution would be (re)planting some trees 🙂

Including the inner ring road in the zone is a potentially problematic choice. Driving from one side of the city to the other without going on that road means traversing more hills and cutting down more back streets and residential streets.

That might actually make pollution (and traffic) worse in those areas.

God knows what's going on in my brain, I read this thread title as "Air New Zealand Clone"; which confused me greatly.

Don't understand not including private vehicles. Surely the likes of vans are there because they need to be (e.g. delivering), although there may be a less polluting way to do it, whereas private vehicles are largely there because people don't want to be inconvenienced by cycling/walking/public transport :S

Yes, I commented that private cars should be included - does seem a strange way to go about things, but it is Sheffield City council.

Done. Why on earth are they excluding private cars?
