no its just sometimes i get people texting me asking if iv still got something for sale when its a really old post and i wonder where they keep seeing these adverts.

Just post a note at the bottom of the thread to let folks know the item has been sold/is no longer available.

That forum's so busy I search it rather than browse - and often chase up old threads.

I'm thinking you're getting spam from your ads, so posting on your thread wouldn't work?
I would've thought emailing mark or matt @singetrackworld.com would be your best bet.

It's good to keep a full history in the public. Makes it easier to spot the traders.
