Font below - sorry I am too thick to work out how to post pictures on here. Any help much appreciated, I have trawled through many but can't find a match.

I assume you mean the ROMANI font? Best guess is something like Futura Black Italic, but it looks like it's been modified slightly

Yes, the ROMANI one. The more research I do the more I think it is a custom design.

Great stuff Cougar, thank you. I always forget about that site.

'Rolphie' font is similar and will give me something to work with.

It certainly looks like someone’s taken a fairly common italic font and buggered about with it, the ‘O’ looks rather odd. What I used to do was take a scan or fairly low-res photo of the logo I needed, put it into CorelDraw, or later Illustrator, set it as a fixed base layer, drag guide lines to all the base, top and side edges and just click and drag with the pen tool to create a new vector image; if you set ‘snap to guides’ the lines will automatically click into place, and round parts of each character can be pulled into shape by just clicking then dragging the little handles on each node, to get reverse angles, like on the ‘R’ descender you usually use a key modifier to allow the line to turn an acute angle. Always remember, any character that has rounded parts, or is round, like G, C, O, the top and bottom of the curves extends slightly over the guidelines, for optical reasons.
Piece of piss to do, it would take me about twenty, thirty minutes or so to do that logo, given the appropriate graphic software.
Which I don’t have any more, sadly.

Alas Mr Zero I am going to use the font for a different word so I can't trace it!

Justin Bieber - for posterity, you are in fact quite correct, it is Futura!

Thank you, I just couldn't find it within the family at first.

Futura Extra Bold Oblique. Looks like it's had a bit more of a skew put on it and stretched a bit too

Free download here, should you need it
