2nd the Marlbank - at foot of the hills and you're camping in the pub garden. 15min walk to one of two local shops, for local people. We'll have no trouble here!

Cons: right next to the road and it's not the best pub in the area.

Avoid Hill Bee campsite in Upton.

There's actually very few tent campsites around here, mostly caravan club sites.

Blackmore might be worth a look, but it's a fairly big camping & caravanning club one. OK location - easy cycle into Malvern/Hanley Swan for beers or shopping and again at the foot of the hills.
