may be in hammersmith first weekend in nov, anyone know of any campsites (for a small camper van) within range or (if there is such a thing) super cheap accomodation? will need to get in daily, may be able to do it on the tube but driving would be best.

Can't think of anything nearby, you could park up in Barnes and stay the night, but I'd be a bit worried about doing so. Otherwise Brentford has a couple of new relatively cheap hotel chains, or possibly stay somewhere a bit further out and get either the Picc or District Line into Hammersmith.

the gypsy camp that was under the westway for years is probably the closest thing Hammersmith has had to a campsite for a long time!
