I've got an Isabella porch awning, it's lovely, except the zip is hard to do up.
What can I put on it to make it run better? Will WD40 be ok or do I need something more esoteric (and correspondingly more expensive!) ?

candle wax is the traditional solution for sticky zips of all kinds. Just run a candle up and down both parts of the zip a few times.
I'd avoid anything liquid as it'll run out and stain the cloth around the zip.
Maybe contact Isabella and see what they suggest?
