Morning all

Im thinking of going on a weekend break over to France with my son. The plan is get the ferry to calais on friday, camp somewhere rural-ish within say 30/1hr drive away. Go somewhere else for the saturday night, again within an hours drive then on sunday hit the hypermarket and head home.

So my questions three are does anyone have any recommendations for the campsites or where to go and whats the best HM to go for?

Thanks all ๐Ÿ™‚

We often use a campsite just outside of St Omer, called Chateau du Gandspette. Its a great site with a pool, bar and restaurant, play areas for the kids and its kept spotless too!

We stayed at Camping La Bien Assise with Canvas over Easter, nice site, 30 minutes from ferry port, decent Carrefore 2k away, heated pool, decent bar, good restaurant, takeaway and reasonable but small shop onsite. Nice site as a base for exploring the area, Wissant a quiet, rolling 15k ride away. ๐Ÿ™‚
