Right Me n the boss are going to go camping, she fancies Whitby.

All I ask is campfires allowed and some decent riding, Oh and pub in strolling distance.

So any recommendations?

Opposite end of the country (sorry) but Blackberry Wood looks nice and allows fires.

There is a site just to the north of Whitby which is next to a pub. Can't comment on quality of either. Riding wise, Dalby is about 30 minutes if you fancy being bored to tears or you can go exploring on the moors.

Its not just the cold, its the wet and mud that makes camping in winter such hard work.
