For the (no doubt many) camping officiados out there in STW world, can you tell me if there is any difference between the brands of Camping Gas and Flow Gas - or are they just literally brand names.
I've been told one burns hotter than the other - is this correct ?.
I need to purchase a relatively small gas bottle for very occasional camping cooker use. I've seen a big difference between Flow Gas (cheaper) than Camping Gas. Both are blue bottles and I'm assured the thread on both bottles will fit the regulator I have. I think I need to keep clear of the red bottled gas - is this correct ?

Propane burns hotter than butane, if you are using pure propane avoid lightweight aluminimum pots, most camping gases are a mix though i believe. Just make sure you get a threaded self sealing one that fits your stove/lamp etc.
