depends what you plug into them.

If nothing else is plugged into the circuit then you should have 32amps per double wall socket. Your extension will however have a 13amp fuse in it so this is your limiting factor

basically you can plug roughly 3Kw off one 13 amp socket

a REAL man would replace the fuse with a nail and keep plugging things in until it melted/caught fire ๐Ÿ™‚

thinking about it, if your double socket adapter is an older type with no fuse (quit unlikely) then you could get 26amps out of one socket using two 13amp extensions.

it would probably get pretty damn warm though ๐Ÿ™‚

Bedside lamps - 80w the pair (if you're old fashioned). Router a - few watts, DVD player - a few watts, TV - depends on it's size and type. LCD 20" TV - a few watts 42" plasma 400w. Hairdryer - 1500w or more. I doubt if you'll use 2k at worst. All things going, but without the hairdryer, 200-300w probably.

You can have as many extensions and sockets as you like, so long as you keep to a safe load, up to about the rating of the fuse (3KW).

Although - fuses are designed to blow after a sustained period of over-current. It's quite common for a 4-gang extension lead to catch fire when it's running close to capacity without the fuse blowing. Unfused two-socket adaptors should be binned.
