my son has been badgering me to buy the new Call of duty game. The game looks great and has some rave reviews. My problem is that he is only 11 and it is an 18 rated game. Why are these games rated 18? is it that they are really violent and will turn him into a killer. Or is there load of swearing? or is it realyy hard to play? I also have 2 younger kids that will also wnat to watch /play.
lots of gore and no doubt there will be some swearing, i also think the nazi and Vietnamese zombie games will help the age rating.
Errrmm. I'd keep the two younger kids away from it tbh.
Depends how impresionable / mature your 11 yr old is.
too much use of the word "****!" in the campaign dialogue for young kids, otherwise nothing too bad for an 11yr old to see IMO.
11 is a funny age, I never play gasmes with swearing in infront of my 8/9yr olds but the 12/13yr old will hear way worse out with her pals.
I let 8/9yr olds play MW2 online and multi player but not campaign for the above reasons.
oh.. but I turn off the voice chat in online when kids play.
Yes... turn off the voice chat! 😯
