Yes, that's the name of a band. Saw em live last night (£15! £30 below the average ticket price!)
And seeing as all these fat old 80s hasbeens are getting threads...
See em, the support band The Rhythm Method are phenominal too.
So, if any of this is anywhere near you, I'd recommend a night out 🙂

Cabbage eh?! loLZ
Makes nice soup, add some tarragon and chilli to taste.
Great name!
Went to see my nephew's band's LAST EVER gig last night.
Creative differences? Noooooo.
Turns out the singer has been shagging the guitarist for ages. Both married to other people.
Rock and indeed, roll.
You feeling alright DezB?
I'd have thought Cabbage were far too mainstream for you - they've been played on 6 music and even I've heard of them!
Is disappoint as was expecting;
as an aside what utterly crap prizes kids tv used to give. Kitchen towel and Kleenex!
Parp!
*insert humorous cabbage-related pun here*
Edit: You'd think this would be fertile ground for that sort of thing but, genuinely, I have nothing. I think i'm losing my mojo.

Damn. How do I delete this thread..? 😀
I thought someone would have mentioned the sexual shenanigans scandal involving the singer by now. Disappoint. I coulda touched his willy last night but left that to the young girlies (this time).
I've got one, but it's not great. I don't think I've got the brassica neck to post it, tbh.
I think I might be trying too chard.
☺
I knew you could do it. Lettuce hope this is only the beginning.
Talking of which - this just appeared on my Facebork feed -
Due to unforeseen circumstances, Atomic Kitten are no longer able to perform at Let’s Rock Southampton this year. However, we are delighted to announce that ASWAD are now confirmed to replace them!
I'm, like, I'm ...
I think I might be trying too chard.
Kale me if you come up with anything better.
What sort of music? Alway like a band recommendation.
What sort of music?
Teutonic Goth.
or, if you prefer, Sour Kraut.
What sort of music?
They're pretty rock n roll really - with a definite punk attitude - reckon I could hear a few 12 bar blues riffs in their songs. It's more about their presence and attitude that makes em a great live band. Doesn't come across so well recorded imo.
The support, The Rhythm Method are worth seeing, cos they were unlike anything I've seen before. Chubby geezer in trackie bottoms setting up the gear, turns out he was the singer (well, singer, in the vein of The Streets being a singer!) - with a pianist! Loved em.
Thanks for the sensible question, I feel better now 🙂
Sauerkrautrock.
You and perchy are in tune today 🙂
Thinking the same as the-muffin-man, I think I’ve even heard them played on Radio 1 and 2!
I rather like them, but I’m really not sure about the name, same as White Denim, which is up there with King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard for Worst Band Name Ever!
Cabbage are ace! They were on RadMac a while back and they were bloody hilarious!
My favourite Cabbage tracks...
I beleaf we need to have a stalk about the incessant punning, it's silly
I'm a celeriac, get me out of here.
A Strava segment near me called 'Do you like cabbage?'

I think they're from your part of the world aren't they, binbins?
Song 'Tell Me Lies About Manchester' has superb lyrics, as well as smartly referencing 'Tell Me Lies About Vietnam' - always wonder how many of the 18-20 year olds in the crowd get the reference!
To be fair, it's hard not to have been brought up in Manchester and not randomly had a pint with an ex member of The Fall.
On the other hand I have met over 400 people who reckon they were at the Lesser Free Trade Hall, bullshitter's all, y'all.
I like them, btw, bit biscuity.
I'm seeing them in Brighton in April. Looking forward to it.
I would've gone to that muggomagic, but they're playing Portsmouth the night after, which is nearer. Patterns is a good little venue. Hoping TRM will still be with them 🙂
They're on at the Ritz in May. My favourite sticky-carpeted venue. think I'll get tickets now. Cheers for the heads up Dezzy Baby 🙂
Pleasure's all mine 😀
They're a bit like someone has done a Spinal Tap version of The Sultans of Ping F.C.
