MegaSack DRAW - 6pm Christmas Eve - LIVE on our YouTube Channel
As much as i'd love a Northface or similar, theres no way I can blow £270 on a jacket for strolls in the woods and very occasional hill walks. Any suggestions of something light, packable and cheap? Hood required, removable a bonus as I could wear the jacket on the bike sometimes too.
Shame Alpkit dont do waterproofs!
Montane make good stuff, which can often be found heavily discounted online.
Or Paramo Fuera - £50 ish. Paramo stuff is very well made.

I would be tempted to spend just a little more (around the £100) mark and get a Gore-Tex Paclite jacket.
its worth waiting and shopping around though. Go outdoors were doing a Berghaus Paclite not long back for £50, and another site http://www.additionsdirect.co.uk/ were doing them for I think it was about £40!! The same site until earlier this week had that RG1 jacket for £20.
may not be the sort of thing your after but have a look at www.dare2b.co.uk
supposedly the posh side of reggatta clothing but some Very good deals at th emo on jackets and the like!
i picked up a dare2b ski jacket from TK MAX for £30.00 , they had loads of wind/shower proof stuff .
