I have BT Infinity and get ~20mb down but only 0.7mb up. I've complained to BT but nothing is going to happen.
I'm tempted to switch to Sky because I can save money, if I pay for their Fibre package over standard broadband, will I get a new physical line? I'm sure the problem is with our BT line so a new line would be super. At worst case if Sky Fibre is exactly the same speed but cheaper I'll have to live with that.
BT provide SKY with broadband so I can't see how you will gain anything
Nope it's all done at the exchange.
The line should be tested on provision so any faults that may be causing your problems may be resolved. However, physically it is the same line. has anyone been out to look at it?
Although they use the same lines I thought they could control the contention ratio (customers per line), used to be the case with normal broadband. With that I went from practically no internet evenings and weekends on SKY to a constant 18Mb with Zen.
Recently moved to a fibre area so signed up with Zen again only to be hit with whopping cancellation fee from BT.
