Hello

I am appealing to the collective wisdom of STW for some help.

I have just moved into a new build proprerty and am stuck between BT and Openreach.

Openreach need to do some work to connect the property but I cannot call them directly to try and expedite this (this has been 6 weeks now) and any time I call BT for an update they tell me they have escalated this (4 times apparently) worth Openreach.

Despite politeness this is getting no where and I need to find another way to avoid 20mins plus wasted on the phone talking to BT.

any help appreciated

Thank you

Good luck - your contract is with BT and their 'now separate' Openreach usually plumb the lines in from the box - separate businesses effectively..  Keep onto BT.

It took us some time 20'odd years ago to get a line in, but our house was delayed, so they got the line in within a couple of weeks of us being there.

Do as some small Scottish and Welsh communities have done and finish the job yourself?

Example, 1 Gb self-installed here: http://balquhidder.net/

Have BT said what the issue is with Openreach?

I deal with line provisioning on a daily basis using Openreach, so if you want to PM me your details I can at least check your address for lineplant issues etc. I won't be able to query your order, but I may be able to offer some suggestions.
