hi, my hope pro 2 hub ive just fished out of the garage is in a bit of a mess and i looking for a bit of advice... i know it needs new bearings and the free hub works but there is a bit of play in it!
after a basic bearing change will the play in the free hub stop? or is that a different job altogether? and if so what needs doing to make it good again?

As long as no parts are damaged like the axle, the play will probably be from the bearings. A bearing change should sort it. Hope have a great video on how to do it on there web site.

excellent guys thanks for your help:), ill strip it down and have a look at what im dealing with, but if its a bent axle like you say i think ill just put it back in the garage! 🙂
