went to see it last weekend, great acting, well filmed but.......flat as ditch water, what did you think of it?
Thought it was Spielberg's best in a while. Was quite gripped. If anything I thought it was a fraction confusing once in Berlin with all the exchanges/meetings.
A mature and interesting film. Nice to see Spielberg move away from pyrotechnics.
I never felt like there was any risk in the outcome, no excitement, even when he was arrested at the checkpoint, next scene he was being released, just fely really bland.
Yes I would agree it was just tip-toeing to a pedestrian finale. I'm happy with this low-key Spielberg though. Any added excitement or drama would've probably had me shaking my fist at Hollywood.
Certainly for me more watchable than Lincoln.
