in what used to be chasers on cowgate...that is all. No i dont work for them but am a big fan 8)
cowgate
Won't be going there then.
Excellent! All they need to do now is start making good beer.
I was a bit dissapointed in the one in Aberdeen. It was a bit too "trendy" for my tastes which is a shame as I like a lot of their beers. Their marketing on the other hand...

+1
their sanctimonious marketing style keeps me away too.
I have had two of my best ever hangovers from the Aberdeen Brewdog in the past 6 weeks. It is a bit trendy but the bar staff are friendly and the choice of beer is great. The flavour of the Tokyo is just stunning.

Ah, see, I want to like Brewdog, I really do. I like that they're doing something a little different. I've just so far failed to find a beer of theirs that isn't dreadful.
Ideally, it will be a money pit which will put their business under.Meaning an end to their awful beer and worse marketing. Then the Williams brothers will step in and take over the pub.
Wetherspoons.
Probably wouldn't go to the pub, but like the beer.
Nice strong flavours for my big clumsy tastebuds 8)
Their marketing is repellant, but their beer really can't be described as 'awful' or 'dreadful'.
Sounds like someone refusing to enjoy the red route of Glentress, because it's like a trail centre and all the Teds ride it.
Hopefully this will help tidy up the Cowgate a bit. Sure, being a bar it will attract a few drunks, but their target clientele is less likely to wander around the Cowgate in a thong or picking fights. Open by the end of the month I'm told, and the Glasgow one shouldn't be too far behind.
Love it or hate it, you can't argue that their approach to marketing gets them noticed. I'll have a 5am Saint over a pint of Stella any day please.

That's what I was going to say. The labels look like they want to sell to men who use Lynx and shop at Burton.
Good luck to them if it works though, and good luck to them with their pub. Their beer's OK and I'd probably go in for a pint - as long as there weren't too many blokes in Burton clothes wearing Lynx in there already.

Taste is objective, it can be described however we like.
Purely personally, I've yet to find a Brewdog beer that I've liked, and I've tried a couple now. I'm happy to be proved wrong - in fact I'd welcome it, like I said at the start, I -want- to like them. But please don't tell me how I can or can't taste something, that's just arrogant. You might not agree, and that's fine, but we can disagree without one of us having to be wrong.
I like 'em ๐
And their Punk IPA is excellent.
The Trashy Blonde is pretty good ime.
Another fan here. I can see how the marketing might wind people up a bit, but it's obviously intended to be tongue in cheek so gets the benefit of the doubt from me. The beers that I've tried have been very good indeed.
5am Saint is I think the nicest they do, plus it isn't silly strong.
Don't get a pint of the 5am Saint though, it gets a bit sickly after almost exactly a bottle's worth.
