Was with RAC but had much more cover than I needed. Is anyone worth going with who aren't RAC, AA or Green Flag? Looking to keep costs down where possible..

I've just cancelled the AA as they, for the second year assumed I would allow a renewal for twice the amount of the previous year.

They have a good deal if you go through quidco and apply online

I'm going with AutoAid as we've never had a callout, can afford to pay and claim back and they get rave reviews.

Have a look for my thread about the AA, then don't bother even considering them.

Despite the expected backlash against my points raised on here (as is to be expected), I also posted my grievances on a car based forum and found the general concensus to be in my favour.

3 days and no response to a Home Start request - cold weather or not, I find this unacceptable.

£25 for the year seems adequate for my needs and loads cheeper than rac and the AA

Me too, although I only let them do it once. And then the cheeky buggers tried to charge me a cancellation fee when I told hem I didn't want to!
"Why did you give us bank details then?" was their response.
"So I could pay my car insurance monthly." Not renewed that either.
Don't get me started on their warrenties...
