Just back at work after a while off. My 2-week old bread I forgot to bin isn't mouldy (it's a hovis grain type, and isn't now the freshest).

Is it full of bad stuff to have avoided the mould?

Just in the bag it came in, in a cupboard. I wash my hands a fair bit so that may help.

Any bread that is more than a day old in our house goes to the chickens

It's not exactly off after a day but new stuff always tastes better ๐Ÿ™‚

bread in the states is so full of preservatives - it has a shelf life of 3 months!
