Ha!! We've been fixated by this WC, MrsBouy has stormed off to do supper on that result, lucky me 😆

Torn between the next game, itching to see how Urig do without bugs bunny, and Montalblano 😆

The good news is Serena William is out of Wimbledon ... 😆

Now let's hope Any Murray is out as well ... 😈

Actually I rather like all the top 7 players for women and men to be out ... 😆

My money is on Colombia.

....via another draw at FT, to keep my ludicrous bet going.

hoping for a sharknado to drop on the beach and take out Adrian Chiles, Martin O'Neill and even Ian Wright for that terrible Hulk smash pun.

Ok ... not sure who I want to win btw Colombia vs Uruguay ... but if they can beat Brazil then I will support both if that is possible.

Columbia to trounce Uraguay here. Though I did actually see Forlan score. Twice. In one game. Bastard hadn't managed it all season, then got two, right at the death, to lose me my bet on the final score in the villa game! The ****!

Actually... He'll probably do it tonight. Just to piss me off!

Everyone ready for the pearls of wisdom from Andy Townsend then?

I just have a feeling Uruguay will win this and we'll hear nothing but "this is for poor old Luis "jelly legs" Suarez".

Binners, saw Forlan play a champions league match at ibrox a few years back, and he was absolutely outstanding, one of the most complete performances I've seen. Ran the channels, dropped back and supported both wingers and midfield and ran our defence ragged (not too hard tbh!).

I think the move to Man U just came too early for him.

The year he left OT he was highest scorer in La Liga. I used to really like him. His work rate was phenomenal! He set loads of goals up (which he never got any credit for), but he always looked, in front of goal, like Torres does now. No confidence at all. Like he was scared to shoot. I think you 're right . It was probably too much pressure, too soon, and it got to him. A great, underrated, player

**** me.

The guy already plays for PSG, and ITV commentator says now the big boys will be looking at him.

Why do you hate football, ITV?

Sporting ignorance is what it is Jamie. Lawrenson is world class at it, if you don't play in England, he hasn't a clue who you are. Knobend.

He's right: Despite all their recent financial good fortune, they aren't exactly up there with the likes of Real Madrid and Barcelona.

In relation to history/stuff won, no. PSG not as big, but in relation to having the money to have such a player, then no. I doubt either Real or Barcelona can offer James R. more than PSG can.

Yes, ro5ey, given that's number 5.

On a side note, that's all my bed knackered.

With the financial fair play regulations now in, I suspect they can offer more than PSG as their revenue is likely to be significantly higher. Anyway, I suspect the commentator was speaking with regard to club reputation, rather than financial power, as most football fans would.

I guess we'll never know.

Also, PSG have already demonstrated they don't give a sausage about FFP, with their signing of Sideshow Bob.

Looks like Gaston Ramirez's having one of his off days since coming on. Look out for his party trick of dribbling towards the defence, but forgetting to take the ball with him (I like the lad, he shows flashes of genius occasionally, but when he's bad...)

Any one remember that old football arcade game where you had a roller ball rather that a joystick?

I just had a flash back seeing Uruguay running around with their light blue shirts and black short... they used to be a country you had to beat in that game

Anyway, as you were. 🙂

I would just like to apologise for drunkenly putting James Rodríguez in the PSG squad, last night. Of course he is AS Monaco.

...although, they are a similar new (as in loads of) money club, who could keep him purely through financial clout, but as per Mickey, he probably would prefer to win stuff.

Anyway. My slice of humble pukka pie out the way.

Netherlands - Mehico: 3-2
Greece - Costa Rica: 4-0

....and now to start drinking again 8)

Are you not getting bored with all this drinking beer while watching football?

No, I'm not either. Watching this one in the pub, as United fans, we seem to have collectively adopted Holland. HUP! 😀
