He was held back, bit stupid of the defender really. Nice pen, he wasn't saving that.

The most impressive beard in football, might be in trouble with FIFA.

Anyway. Mueller was a play acting ****.

Patrick Viera just said we don't want people to shit on the field. I second that.

That's the trouble with trying to pronounce "cheat" with a French accent. 🙂

hate Muller, if I was Pepe I'd have left him feet up in a ditch.

Killed the game but, on the upside, gave us plenty of chances to see Ronaldo"s *it's not fair the world hates me waaaah" face.

Müller should have been booked, and that incident aside, had a magnificent game. With no team to support, the Germans are my favourites so I was delighted with a 4-0. Pepe should know better than to make contact with another player's head in any game, let alone a World Cup opener. Two arseholes at that incident, Pepe was the bigger of the two. I suspect that the result would have been the same had it stayed eleven aside anyway. Tbh, I'd rather be watching Zlatan than Ronaldo.

Horrible horrible game. Nigeria look like they have some talent. But are organised terribly. A decent manager could probably make something of them...

Seems odd for Iran to take off Dejagah. As if anyone kan score them a goal, Ashkan kan.

Phil Neville is really going up in my estimation, with how he is handling the social media beat-down he got.

Thought Lennon was funny too talking about Ambrose. "You can see why I played him as a centre half." 😆 Actually, Lennon has been good in the seat.

I know it's early days in this tournament but does anyone else think African football is going backwards?

No a bad game this. Hope Ghana break down the USA though. I've a natural bias towards the attacking team. The Americans are pretty solid though if lacking upfront.

Is that Robbie Savage co-commentatin? Coming out with some bollocks about how all players should sing the national anthem. Why? You can play for your country without indulging in all the 'patriotic' bullshit.

Good game that. I thought Ghana were a lot stronger, but the USa were very well disciplind.

Klinsmann was singing the US national anthem. Savage nevermentioned tht.

ITV should really spend an extra fiver, and get at least a few other commentator/co-commentators. As unless I have imagined it, Clive Tyldsely and Andy Townsend have done every game.

What they've done, see, is get Andy Townsend to do every game Jamie. That's what they've done. Tasty. Naughty.
