Why does Jonathan Pearce get these jobs. Its simple if you just shut your f'ing mouth and think about it. There were two incidents; one not in, the second in. Simple.

This Honduras team are just like the The Netherlands team that played against Spain in the 2010 final.

Jonathan Pearce has a very good voice and delivery for commentary, but he needs an autocue.

I started off wanting Honduras to win but they have been such nasty s**** that I hope they get spanked.

Annoyingly, Conor McNamara & Pat Nevin are doing the 5Live commentary, so would much prefer to listen to that. But lose HD if going to the red button.

It's like Phil Neville all over again 😡

I can't decide who is worse, Pearce, or the welsh muppet in the studio.

How was the second goal controversial?

But surely there should be more debate over the goals that were not awarded to Mexico & Switzerland for being offside, not a goal that has shown that goal line technology works & has made a difference.

doubtful if frances second would have been given if not for the technology, the ref has to be sure, if there's doubt, no goal.

consider that the goal was about 2 cm over the line, I'd say you'd have to concede that it worked well in this instance.

beyond that though, I do agree with having tv refs or something like ruling on decisions that happen in the box(6yard atleast).

I like Robbie Savage, but sitting there with Lineker, Seedorf and Henry. He must be feeling a touch inadequate.

Got the Bossies in my sweep at work, but I'm really only up cause I forgot to wash the kids school uniform, quite good game though combative.

But why do many "dinks" the commentators are obsessed with "dinking" I don't get it.

Top tip, the footage on www.cbc.ca (Canadian Broadcasting Corporation) is top notch.

One of the classic MOTD commentators (I don't know their names) and they show every game, free, with replays of all the matches, highlights packages etc.

Better than any footage I've seen of previous tournaments, apart from the very 'american' half time show.

I'm glad that numpty Jonathan Pearce is being lampooned for making an utter tit of himself last night.

Get back to Robot Wars - you've been over-promoted, son.

All the talk is whether Rooney should play in the next game and if so....where? I think he deserves a chance to play in his preferred position and if he fails again, then time to move on.

I say 'fail' because he's a £300k per week, so called 'world class' player, but when we needed him to hit the target from 7 yds, he completely buggered it up!
