Maybe but how long before Sky say....thanks dave but you're leaving.
Froome's continued silence can't be helpful for brailsford's future.
Would be surprised if he was still with Team Sky when TDF starts.
They need to throw someone under the team bus, just a question of how big a sacrifice is required. Freeman may not be enough.
The sooner we accept that professional cycling is a sport of drugs, always has been [s]and always will be[/s], the better.

That's as valid a statement as me accusing you of being a heroin addict
Jamie's a heroin addict?
Yup. Love the stuff.
Yup. Love the stuff.
It is rather moreish, isn't it...
In sport, using the word "resign" in a press statement is generally a self-fulfilling prophecy no matter what the rest of the wording says... I give him a fortnight.
Poor old Dave.
Singled out as the stooge amongst the tribe.
A tribe that was once regarded as the pinnacle of a mass participation sport, a sport that inspired and encouraged folks from all walks of life to jump on a bike and get sore bottoms. A sport that billions followed, a sport that millions turned up on a hill in France to see skinny blokes wiggle and fat blokes withering off the back. A sport vilified for its approach to banned substances, a sport that gained more fans during that period than any other sport on the planet.
And Dave guided, steered and changed the methodology to which all other teams and semi-professionals alike follow, nay mimic.
And courted by Politicians and Heads of State, Presidents and the poor, kids and Moms.
Yet now, a cold shoulder, a turn of cheek, left to answer questions that have plagued the sport it's whole life long existence.
He will ultimately leave, singled out as yet another bad influence.
But I like him. He's done more for the sport than it really understands.
I see an old friend of mine has taken up a position within U.K. Sport covering cycling, I hope he's ready for the blinding headlights and glare of camera flashes.
I've not followed this story very closely. Anyone got a summary of where it's up to?
Thing is though, if he'd be open and honest from the start it would be a nothing and long forgotten about. Brought all on himself really.
Anyone got a summary of where it's up to?
Bloke drives across Europe to deliver a package that no one knows what it contained!
Thing is though, if he'd be open and honest from the start it would be a nothing and long forgotten about.
I can't think of a sporting manager that his been more open and honest about his methods. He's been exposed to more scrutiny by the press than almost any public figure. And this whole "scandal" centres around working within the rules, not actually breaking them; and a very minor lack of records/admin several years ago!
What other walk of life or business demands such ridiculously high levels of transparency or accountability?
It's ridiculous, you could make Mother Theresa look dodgy if you did enough digging.
Well, she's no saint ๐It's ridiculous, you could make Mother Theresa look dodgy if you did enough digging.
TSY +1
Nationality doesn't matter
So what was in the package? Has anyone ever said?
He's tied himself up in knots avoiding giving a straight answer to the important questions.
There are probably good reasons for this, but he does appear to have lost the plot over the last six months.
It's ridiculous, you could make Mother Theresa look dodgy if you did enough digging.
She's cropped up before on here and it was never very long before people did just that.
Bloke drives across Europe to deliver a package that no one knows what it contained!
Fake news! He was on a plane. And the package contained 500g of Shane Sutton's favourite artisan fudge and a packet of Tim Tams that Sutton had specially flown out from Australia to satisfy his domestic biscuit pangs. Trouble is, no-one would believe that, so they've come up with a string of increasingly more likely alternatives that no-one believes either.
Hold on, Mother Theresa's died? FFS! When?
To turn this on its head a little. What difference would it make to anything if he did resign - apart from making a small coterie of sports journalists feel validated?
Does it really matter to anyone who heads up Team Sky? Assuming UKAD doesn't find any actual anti-coping violation of course.
Hold on, Mother Theresa's died? FFS! When?
A brilliant woman who was at my inauguration with billions of others who voted for me. FAKE NEWS from the failing Kryton57!
So what was in the package? Has anyone ever said?
Bradleys medicine. Some have asked why they didn't go to the pharmacy round the corner.
The local pharmacy is how lost Britain's only alpine skiing medal
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alain_Baxter
well Baxter was cock up rather than conspiracy ........
Brailsford? should have said everything that was known in the beginning, he'd have still have been given a shoeing in the press but at least he might still be employed by Sky when the tour starts.
'Does it really matter to anyone who heads up Team Sky?'
think it's called reputational damage, not that Sky, Murdochs' one is wonderful......
It's ridiculous, you could make Mother Theresa look dodgy if you did enough digging.
Not the best example to choose!

I thought he fell over on The Jump, nothing to do with his asthma... ๐
it might be me but is there an elephant in the room...? it matters not one jot what was in the packet.. moving stuff across a tariff free border is not illegal. what would be an issue is if bradley or anyone else took drugs and time and time again they ve said they didnt they were never tested positive they have said they never took any drugs.. ffs what was in a jiffy bag is meaningless..
What other walk of life or business demands such ridiculously high levels of transparency or accountability?
There are several...but they probably don't have the same 'celebrity' exposure as this, but accountability and transparency is all over the place so not anything new.
As someone else has said (as I have), he hasn't given straight answers, which he should have done for accountability and transparency.
Not just him, everyone who has been questioned has decided to play the politician and not answer a simple question with a simple answer...
