Up till now I've bottled up into PET bottles, but I'm wondering, can I reuse the glass bottles that beer comes in when you buy it from the shop?

And how to sterilise and cap it?

Cheers!

No problem. I use old grolsch bottles that I bought at a recycling centre (back in the days when it was a tip), sterilized with sodium metabisulphate.
you can buy caps and get a capping tool, but the grolsch bottles make life a lot easier 🙂

Just spent £49:00 on the homebrew site. I'm ready and waiting now....

BTW- is the sludge at the bottom of the barrel viable yeast? Can I decant it and then reuse it for the next batch?
