*sigh*

That's the problem right there. Anyone who wants anything different to the current shitshow of a world where a tiny few rich people get ever mor rich and powerful on the backs of working people is portrayed as a nutter. This unswerving devotion to something that's not in your interests is no different to a cult. Like I said, we get what we deserve, and some deserve it more than others.

Yes, that's right, everyone apart from you is happy for the rich to get richer, and the working people to struggle more and more. That's exactly what those complaining about Johnson in this thread want, isn't it.

Many of us want something different from the current world shitshow - we just don't think the problem was caused by what is a schism within the membership of (on an international scale) a minor political party on a small island. Cult you say?

(Now this thread is ruined too)

No just centrist/rightwingers who pretend they're not happy about it but are perfectly content to keep everything the same. To quote Enstein, 'The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result'. That's exactly what we're currently doing.

On the internet, all quotes are attributable to me.

Oh Christ! Another escapee from the Keir Starmer thread!

Guys, can you remember to shut the door on your way out, if you for some inexplicable reason go in there.

Can't you just focus on ranting about the Tories and leave out the hyperbole concerning other forum users who have a different opinion to yours?

One doesn’t give your enemy a get out of jail free card by publishing ones solutions to the current mess

Sorry but this is absolute rubbish.
It works if your "enemy" is another country but not when they are the ones currently running the country you share.
Not a lot of point waiting another 2 years for the situation to be irretrievable even if it comes at the cost of the arsehole getting the credit.

You have to feel sorry for him. He spent years spewing bile and hate wrecking threads with his hilarious memes and comments about Corby being down the allotment and then the great saviour is, ermmm, where?
Perhaps if people started posting photos and talking about Starmer being down the donkey sanctuary or something he may feel its a safe space again and stop lashing out.

The problem isn't a schism or disagreement within the labour party, it's the exact opposite: The almost total agreement within the UK and wider western society (which includes the labour party) that neoliberalism is a good thing despite 40 years of evidence to the contrary.

He realised it was for the Northern Research Group which given the previous "Research Groups" would be reason to call in an airstrike rather than attend.

Hard to know the more deprived region to be honest. Doncaster or Kyiv.
Guess the difference is that if you shelled Doncaster, you'd probably cause several hundred pounds worth of improvements.

Zolensky is going to be having a quiet word…

“Listen… can someone tell him to go? I mean, thanks for the missiles and everything, but he’s been here every week for days at a time now…”

Flying to Kyiv for no apparent reason the week before a by-election does seem pretty desperate. That’s how far he has to go nowadays to find someone who doesn’t think he’s a ****

Or he’s gone there to try and corner and meet the leaders of Germany, France and Italy… who don’t seem to in be a rush to see him.

The irony of him trying to tie himself to Zolensky is that when he was offered a flight out by the Americans and replied ‘I don’t need a lift, I need ammunition’, we all know that the flytipped sofa would have been out of the country like a rat up a drainpipe at the first sign of trouble and would have set himself up in exile in a suitable luxury hotel

But then there’s the moral in question of using the Ukraine war and all the suffering it entails as a dead cat. Although we know Johnson has no morals, that’s a very low thing to do.

Then toss him over the Russian border with a trebuchet, he can report back to his paymasters

I've said it before but Johnson and Trust's posturing and verbiage towards Russia get me nervous. They make the UK more of a target.

Meanwhile; petrol prices skyrocket again, inflation heads ever upwards and the government, which has no plans on doing anything about any of it, has just issued a statement that workers shouldn’t be expecting for pay rises to reflect this.

We should all just suck it up.

I’m just waiting for Boris to resurrect George Osbournes ‘we’re all in it together’ strapline.

I’ll give it a week

Agreed. Should have stuck to insisting Putin pulls back from Ukraine, not babble on about “beating” him. Let him leave Ukraine claiming some nonsense about job done… don’t let him paint a picture of Russia under attack.

[ wrong thread ]

johnson is both a coward and a bully with a massively over estimated sense of self worth; an opportunistic sexually incontinent bag of cells in an ill-fitting suit.

Edit - highly skilled in dissembling and totally divorced from reality.
Completely lacking in any positive human values.

It’s worse than that, hiding behind Boris finger waving at Vlad, Sunak has announced there will be no tax based relief until inflation drops. So, we aren’t going to get the tax cuts Boris offered just about a week ago. Obvious plan is obvious, the Tories will cream the tax of the inflated prices then when we need it less, will dangle only a small amount back at us, the timing of which will be oooh let’s see, early 2024?

Johnson obviously upset that EU leaders were in Kyiv yesterday

Meanwhile

What's so funny is that the northern MPs thought he might actually be greatful for them not voting to get rid of him last week
Suckers

Sending him on frequent round trips to Kyiv makes me wonder whether someone has read the final chapter of House of Cards and told him, 'We have a plan to save your reputation and get the Party re-elected....', although he would probably have been in more physical danger in a roomful of NRG MPs
