It wouldn’t ever cross his mind that there was more required than that. Maybe a photo op in a hi-viz jacket if he’s really making an effort, but that’s your lot

I do genuinely wonder what he actually does all day?!
I mean, the impression from Partygate is basically that he spends most of the time drinking, I assume he's done an awful lot of shagging around along the way as well... Not a lot else from the looks of things.

If that was a benefits claimant doing that, the papers would be up in arms about the lazy bastards sitting around being given taxpayers money but because it's the Prime Minister, he seems to get a free run at it. 🙄

He’s just been on the news making the following statement:

“The Storemont Assembly cannot meet because of the Northern Ireland Protocol”

That’s certainly an ‘interesting’ interpretation of the absolute shambles of the Brexit deal that he himself negotiated, signed and then celebrated

The DUP are going to hold out ‘till another election is called. They’re hoping that their poor performance last time can be reversed when people see how diligently they “stand up” for NI, and get the UK government to not only change its own laws, but break international law. It’s a big bet… the current arrangements mean that it is NI companies that are bucking the trend of faltering exports for post Brexit UK… not only are they increasing exports to RoW, but also to the EU, all without falling sales to the rUK. Insisting that Boris Johnson breaks NI as much as he has broken GB, so that we can all go down together, might not be the winning ticket they think it is.

Thats an impressively bad spelling of Democratic Unionist Party.

Sounds like he’d fit right in with the current conservative cabinet once Richie Rich gets kicked out the door.

Tories gonna Tory

Does anyone else find it a bit weird that nobody knows how many children this guy has? Isn't that a little opaque for someone in the highest public office?

The number doesn't bother me.

The kids aren't responsible for who their parents are. Quite rightly, the British press tends to respect kids right to privacy and a normal life.

I would hate to be in a society where children become fair game in an increasingly nasty social media world.

Edit - the number of kids is the dead cat to distract us from the fact that their father is a lying cheating scum bag. They are the symptoms not the cause. Focus, people!

The number doesn’t bother me, the opacity does. It’s that and the variety of partners that contributes to his character.

Iirc if one keeps one’s children out of the public eye the UK press can’t, legally, claim any public interest in photographing them or intrusive reporting. In this case he probably can’t remember how many he has though.

What’s more worrying is the way in which he’s said to have dealt with his unknown number of illegitimate children.

He gets his lawyer to negotiate a financial settlement with the now-pregnant ex-mistress, as to how much their upbringing will cost him, then washes his hands of them. Continuing his Bullingdon tradition of sending someone else, armed with a cheque book to sort out his mess.

He’s apparently never seen any of them and has no involvement in their upbringing beyond a financial transaction. The man is a sociopath and just an absolutely vile human being

No wonder he’s skint. All those NDA’s must be costing a fortune

I can't help thinking that the lying scumbag has gotten away with it again. Those of us that aren't celebrating the latest with a "just move on" mantra are so fatigued by this **** that it's just washing over and there appears to be nothing that can be done or anyone to do it.

We need some grownups to stage a coup.

At least five of which were with women who weren't at the time, his wife or partner I think. I mean there's a Oscar Wilde mis-quote in there. There's something a wee bit sociopathic in the way he just repeating the same behaviour over and over again.

This isn't true for his older (now adult) children.

Mind you, that contact has probably resulted in them coming to the conclusion that...

The man is a sociopath and just an absolutely vile human being

Or... much more succinctly (in the case of his eldest daughter)... "is a selfish bastard".

As a catholic myself, who’s managed to keep my number of offspring down to two, I have to admire his dedication to the papal doctrine on contraception, and in contrast to his dealings with the EU, he’s clearly never felt the urge to withdraw 😂

Mission accomplished then.
Didn't he once say about a tactic of releasing / doing more and more stupid things so we just get fed up of hearing about it and moving onto the next ?

Funny how the roght wing media have been laying off attacking some of their favourite targets in recent years. Namely, single mothers and absentee fathers....

High point of this for me was when he was pretending to be dead from covid and said that his new child had given him the strength to keep going. Not the 14 other children, they don't count, just the most recent one.

Tory rags -"shock economic downturn."

Oh FFS. My dog knew there was a recession coming. Beyond idiots.

And if neither party is pushing big state then it gets worse from here on in.

You support the economy through the pandemic, and it limps through and then you cut it off. What do you think is going to happen?

Brexit is going to be a leaving party for the rest of the collapse.

Beyond idiots.

No, they’re not idiots, but the claims they make are beyond idiotic. They knew this was coming. To admit it was predicated would lead people into discussing how it could have been avoided, or at least better mitigated… and then everything points to Boris Johnson and his team. Paint it as something that has come as a surprise, and people might not notice that the mess Johnson claims that he and his team are best placed to sort out was actually of their own making.

I was just wondering why I never meet any of these short sighted easily impressed women, then a picture of mad nad came into my mind, and I decided that celibacy was the life for me.

I’d imagine it’s mainly transactional.

That American lass he boffed, who at least got lots of taxpayers money out of him for the ‘pleasure’ then sold her story to the tabloids - something else I can’t imagine any other prime minister getting away with - described the experience as ‘like having a wardrobe fall on top of you’

The Express calls it 'The hated deal' and always tries to blame the EU for it.

‘like having a wardrobe fall on top of you’

With the key still in the lock.

Sorry for that visual everyone 😆

Any truth to the rumour that, in return for the 7 poor sods we're sending to Rwanda, Rwanda is sending 58 to us? 😀

Once you start looking at his personal life it really is a disaster. His oldest child with his second wife was conceived while he was still married to his first, he had 3 more children with his second wife and cheated on her over 25 years with at least 5 other women that we know of, one of whom is his current wife. He may have seeing both Symonds and Accuri at the same time while married to his second wife, while she was undergoing treatment for cervical cancer. i wonder what makes his third wife think that this behaviour will or indeed has stopped?

That is pathological behaviour

The wardrobe analogy was originally pertaining to fatty Soames, I'm sure Johnson would relish the Churchillian connection.

They seem perfectly suited for each other. I’m sure she cynically ‘priced in’ what being married to Boris would involve. A large divorce settlement once he’s out of number ten and charging 100 grand a pop for speeches to assembled corporate Masters of the Universe (estimated earnings potential 5 million a year)

Wasn’t she sacked from her last job for a massive expenses fraud and if rumours are to be believed then baby number 2 isn’t his anyway as she’s been shagging Zac Goldsmith

A match made in heaven. Seems like they deserve each other

Where do you read this stuff?

It’s all out there in the public domain.

I’ve just done a quick Google and the top link that came up was the Daily Mail.

She was sacked as the Tory Party director of comms. Imagine your antics being bent enough to be sacked by the Tory Party? Quite some achievement

I don’t think the morning star covered it 😉

So the answer is ideally the Daily Mail. Thanks, I was intrigued to learn where people go to find out about the sexual activities of Tory spouses.

And no, I don't believe that the Morning Star covers such stories.

I had to Google sidebar of shame. No like me the Morning Star isn't interested in people's private and sexual lives, even Tories. Unless it involves illegal activities of course.

Tell you what comrade… if you want me to come back to the Keir Starmer thread so you can take issue with everything I say and argue with me, you just have to ask nicely

Failing that, shall we try not to derail another thread? Presently, all the tiresome lefty tub-thumpers have been corralled into one place to furiously agree with each other in a shouty, revolutionary manner, which is great for the rest of us as it means we can avoid them quite easily

Shall we try and keep it like that?

Solidarity brother

Why is it okay to have a Johnson thread and it be loaded with completely justified free-style criticism?

But not the same for Starmer - who let's face has been a disaster as he's supposed to speak for the rest of us.

I can't square it.

Hold your own team to the higher standard, and when they don't reach that standard allow the same criticism.

Meanwhile, Johnson is now suggesting that The UK could leave the European Convention on Human Rights as it may prevent it shipping asylum seekers to Rwanda

And if that doesn’t sound like a descent into fascism, then it should, because it is

No one was suggesting inside knowledge, I was just intrigued how you appear to know so much about sexual activities within the Tory establishment.

Obviously I have an ability to use Google it's just never occurred to me to Google the personal relationships of Tory MPs.

Failing that, shall we try not to derail another thread?

What you think the Starmer thread has been "derailed" because it is focused on politics and not who's shagging who?

Btw binners as you know I love your rants, they are a source of much entertainment. And with the absence of gardentiger/dannyh recently I'm relying on you even more to provide the angry centrist rants.

Edit:

You all seem quite happy in your communal

I'm lovin your lack of self-awareness!
