Well made, easy to replace brushes, etc. (for way less than £60) and do the job.
Edit: I should add that I paid less than £40 for each one on eBay which seems very difficult to do now.
Other options are available.

Only had it a few weeks but very impressed with it.
Shark. We dallied again with Dyson and returned it it was so rubbish. Back to shark.
We've got a Numatic George and because it's a bit bulky we've had more "useable" Shark, Dyson and Vax over the last 11 years. The Shark, Dyson and Vax have all been recycled and were never anything special. George is still going strong.

Just get a Henry. Outlast a Dyson by years. And more powerful too
We have a Henry and Dyson v10 in our house
The Dyson has been in bits numerous times the Henry has never needed fixing.
The Dyson lives in the kitchen and gets used all the time, unless it's broken.
I grew up watching my mum fix her Dyson while cursing
Had a couple of Dysons that were great until.they weren't and his brexity hypocrisy put paid to buying another. Now have a Shark and its even better. God knows why anyone wants to be dragging a Henry about their house.
have had sharlk, Dyson and now vax cordless- like the vax. Don't like Dyson, the person, ambivalentaboutthe products. The shark has needed replacement once and major repair once in about5yrs of ownership.
So far vax winning, only pain is as its small needs regular emptying.

Shark too - have owned a Dyson and its built like lego. I have mine serviced every couple of years.
Our Dyson fell to bits on a regular basis. Bought a Vax 'animal' and it got hammered to death. Upgraded to a Shark, which was crap and maybe lasted two years before it packed in (mains powered). Gone back to a vax - cheap, works and picks up well.
Miele. ~the only answer.
We have a shark - it packed after 3 years, googled turns out they have a 5 year warranty - sent us a couple of parts through the post & we're still going strong.
Would never buy a Dyson cos of James Dyson
Got a Miele that we've had for yonks. Lost all the bits but the thing still works.
We do use a robo vac which is great for running round before you get home. Far from perfect but does a reasonable job as long as someone remembers to empty the dust bin!
We had Henry for years. Was okay for normal house duties but when we got a dog who leaves loads of hair everywhere we bought a Sebo.
Parents have an old Sebo from over 20 years ago and it's still working. You can get all the spares so easily reparable. Had it two years and is better at picking up dog hair.
Henry is now in the garage and has been used for everything including sucking up after opening up a chimney, lots of DIY building work and refuses to die.
Sometimes think a small battery vacuum would be good for intermittent cleaning but seems like a bit of luxury.
We generally use it every 2 days due to the hairy mutt.
